COVID-19 Update

First of all, I hope you are keeping well and managing to cope through these very testing times.

As the COVID-19 situation develops, we want to reassure our clients that Horsebox Insurance (part of The County Group) has deployed it’s Business Continuity plans to minimise the impact on our staff, whilst continuing to provide a full service to you in these challenging times.

As you know the Virus is causing major disruption to every business and Insurance is no different. To try and ensure we can continue to offer you a high level of service the majority of our people may be working from home over the coming weeks. We are making arrangements for them to have home access to their emails and our IT platforms.

The Insurers themselves have also put into place various contingency plans with a large percentage of their staff also working from home in order to maintain service to the Industry.

You will appreciate that during this time the number of staff available to work may be down for periods due to the need for self isolation and that also some internet services may not be at a high level as colleagues may be using their home broadband, therefore please bear with us if there are delays.

If I can kindly ask that going forward for the next month you could communicate with ourselves via email and not telephone if at all possible.

Please be aware that unfortunately, cover cannot be granted until the Insurer has confirmed they have actioned any request, which may not be for a few days depending on the Insurers current status with staffing and IT access.

We would also like to mention that all Insurers require notification should your business premises become unoccupied even if this is for a short period, following which they will confirm their requirements and cover that would be operative. In addition, if your Business activities may have changed i.e Restaurant now delivering Takeaways, that you notify us immediately. This is vitally important as failure to notify the Insurer of a change may invalidate your Insurance and result in claims not being paid

This is an unprecedented situation we all find ourselves in, and we will continue to closely monitor and comply with official advice whilst ensuring we provide a normal service in the event that staff become ill or need to self-isolate. Service is generally good. Information updates are regular, costs are competitive and telephone assistance has been helpful when called upon. I would advise others to take a look at this company. I intend to remain a customer with this company. The only issues I have encountered have not been the fault of this company, rather other service providers they have used in the past.
